The app tries to obtain GPS location for a long time without success.

The app requires your permissions before it can obtain location updates. Be sure that “Location” settings is enabled on your device, and that the app is granted permissions when asked. The app uses both GPS satellites as well as Wi-Fi and mobile networks to determine your current location where available. For best results, please enable “High Accuracy” mode in Android “Location” settings.

In rare occasions when Android Location services appears to be “stuck” at the same spot for a long time, please reboot your device and try again.

 

The app stops getting location updates from a device after a while.

Some Android devices goes into a state of “deep sleep” and prevents background apps from running normally. This is usually designed by mobile device manufacturers to save battery power. However, it does not help when you need  track the device continually.

Please add “Nomap” to the list of exceptions from “battery optimisation” or “power-saving” mode under your Android settings.
